Well!!!

I fancied a chap tonight - rather yummy - so at the bar i tried ti chat to him.

Well, the conversation shall i say was rather lacking.

Now maybe as not been clubbing for ages i am out of touch and people dont talk any more- but to me i was trying to chat and suss him out a bit to see if he was ok enough for me.

The fact i couldnt make conversation meant i felt i couldnt take him home, as i just felt it was all wrong.

Now how wierd is that when i have met many men off here - and met some after only a few emails etc.

AM just wondering now if maybe i have missed out on a good shag just because i put my judgement and possibly my safety first!!!!

I think the main difference between meeting guys off here and men in the pub is if you meet someone off here you know they want to meet you as they have arranged the meet so will sit and chat, where as maybe your guy at the bar just wasnt interested?

Not saying that is the case but if it was me id have took his lack of conversation as he just dont want to talk to me

Agreed if he had put more effort into making you feel fully at ease it would be a different story. As said before if you are not 100% sure then walk away.

But when trying to chat - i asked where he was from, london - oh where abouts - north (now i have lived in london for 14 years so could have made convo here)

What you doing up this way - oh this and that.

Didnt give me confidnece - after trying to talk to him i still knew jack shit and felt a bit unesy about the whole thing.

THEN i saw my mate telling him how lovely i was etc - i was like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yes i know the young uns do have a communication prob- but he looked (ish) in his 30's - and despite being black spoke very good english- so no excuse!!!

Amazing I know, but yes, some of us black folk can speak "very good" English!

I think some people don't know how to "modify" their behaviour in the vanilla world. The way I respond to men on here is different to how I would in a pub.

Believe it or not some men DON'T like women approaching them for sex, they like to do the chasing.

You probably excited and frightened him that's why he didn't open to you. Then again in all fairness, Average Joe, goes into his boozer for a quiet pint, a woman obviously up for it approaches him. How many would REALLY go out their way to make her "feel at ease?"

I'm surprised you even considered going off with a total stranger and amazed at some of the responses from the men on here. On second thoughts, not amazed at all!

The last time I went to a nightclub it was for a hen night a few months ago, I swore I would'nt bother again,the men in swinging clubs behave better than some of the men that approached and tried it on that night

Some folks just lack the art of conversation....I met folk that work in jobs where they never have to interact with anyone, live alone and they suddenly realise that, in the real world, they have just forgotten how to communicate. When I first became a mom I went through the same thing....averse to being a woman that just talked about my baby, I struggled to say anything, i just forgot how to have a conversation with an adult.

I've only once picked up a guy from a nightclub, and bless, it was a total sympathy thing. He was only 21, besotted with his stunning 19yr old girlfriend, who was snogging and mauling any guy that would give her attention...he was sat next to me in bits, he was so gutted I felt he deserved a little pay back. Morally, a wrong thing, but...girl was being a nasty!

Perhaps he was just too lazy to make any effort to chat...... or just bloody dodgy... either that or a spy under cover but hadn't got his 'alter ego' story together!

Either that or he's just never needed to chat women up because of his looks.... no personality!

Isn't it funny how you can meet someone you don't fancy but their conversation is so good and they have such a great personality that you see them in a different light and they become attractive, then others who are gorgeous suddenly don't hold any attraction to you once they prove to be a complete knob during conversation?

probably phrased that a bit wrong actually - i meant it wasnt the lack of language that was making the flow of conversation difficult.

I have had better conversations where the fella cant speak much english - that was what i meant.

NOT that black people cant speak english.

As for "even considering going off with a stranger" - - that is pretty "normal" for people in night clubs from what i can see.

They get pissed - snog a random fella and go home with him.

And if he good looking in the morning after a good shag- well BONUS!!!
