Upon opening the packaging and being bored i noticed that they were produced in Manchester WTF!

They were invented in London at Fortnum and Masons dahling. Nothing to do with the Scottish Land.

You should always check the ingredients first. I was shocked to discover some of the cheaper ones don't even contain ANY scotch at all

I just checked with the Pedia that is Wiki and they may have been inspired by a Mogul dish nargisi kofta ("Narcissus meatballs"). They're getting further away from the Sporran with every sentence.

Waitrose is one of my chief offenders in this. They used to have a lovely Scotch Egg on the deli counter but now they only seem to have the Black Pudding one.

I've had one with onion bhaji instead of sausagemeat. It shouldn't have worked. But it did.

Unsure why? I always have to shake a scotch egg, just to hear the bouncy rattle.

Yes come on now, you all do it. Bet next time you reach for one, you'll rattle it.

Oh and I love black pudding.

I wonder if that's closer to the original Mogul dish?

I want French Toast (no bread or eggs though) and maybe to get a Scotch Egg tomorrow.

I seem to remember the hairy bikers cooking show started this a few years ago.

Anyone that likes scotch eggs.. Make your own using proper sausage meat from the butchers. You'll never eat a shop bought one again once you've had one warm from the oven!!
