I found it rather interesting reading through the article.

Of course the sensationalist headline is that the Swingers Club has ruined their business, but, when you look into it, the Swingers Club had been there for 3 years BEFORE this couple opened their shop below it.

Also, the owner of the Swingers club has taken steps to reduce the impact of the club on her neighbours, but clearly, this is not enough.

If you ask me, the villans of the piece here, are the owners of the Fireplace business. To me, they come across as bullies.

Almost like those people who buy a house near an airport and then complain about the noisy areoplanes.

If that's what an upmarket fireplace shop looks like I'd hate to see the downmarket ones.

So, who's been to the club?

Seriously, it's difficult to soundproof old terraced properties but maybe the club changing it's opening times is the problem rather than the club itself.

no 3 is a club we go to - its not exactly on the high street - as people have said the daytime opening has only been a recent thing and theyve been there 2 years so business must have been poor for them anyway - and previous businesses have had no bother - id shut the shop and go and find out what its all about-might put a smile on those glum faces

personally - if id heard it and i worked there id make light of it - use it to my advantage - sure some customers like it and not offended and make banter about it and i bet they wont turn away any custom that brought in

I like a club without pretentions - there are far too many "The UK's best" this, or "The number 1" that.

To call yourself "the number 3 club" in a particular town is refreshingly honest.

We might open "the UK's worst swinging club" to see if it works for us!

(Above a carpet shop, obviously, in case someone tries pulling the rug out from under us....)
