What do you expect to get from reading them?

For me they are an elaborate way of saying yes, they turned up and are real people

That seems to be the general consensus.

Yeah that they are genuine, but also what type of person they meet with as well.

I don't particularly read them. Just use them as a guide to whether they are nutters or not. Wouldn't want my dangly bits attended to by a lunatic!!

I make a spreadsheet of the people they met, the people who met them, and the people who met them. I cross reference it all against forum posts and do a google search on their pics. Then a search on facebook, twitter etc to do background checks of their hobbies and friends.

thats marvellous! maybe you should consider providing this as a sort of consultancy service...we could pass a name to you and you can do the relevant checks for a smal fee?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Just to check if there are multiple verifications from the same person claiming ownership.

The key phrase I look for is:

"I know I have to share him but..."

That's NOT as far fetched as you might think..

I have had to hide mine for reasons not too disimilar to that.

If someone wants to meet but wants to validate my veris, I'll switch them on, got no problem with that... and I do say that on my profile too.

I only tend to read them if I have not intention of meeting someone but they have messaged me since I am naturally curious (well, nosey) and some are comedy gold. I like the "until the next time" sign off, personally, which I always think translates as "back off bitch, this is my lamp post"

I don't tend to pay so much attention to theirs as to follow the trail and read the ones they've left for other people...that can tell you a lot about a person I think.

I read them with a meh attitude usually. If I bother to read at all. I have had men say they messaged me because of my verifications,I don't know what they liked about them as they aren't particularly telling

This for me too but I read them if my intention is to meet them

I find multiple veri's by the same person a little off putting, makes me back off.
