"What's the best exercise for loosing love handles?" Your diet will dictate that more. But core exercises mate. The amount you burn when squating and deadlifting is far superior to any cardio work. Plus it strengthens your core. You be amazed doing a SL 5x5 program how much you Gain (muscle) and loose (fat) A good core is a foundation for lifting. | |||

I used to body build for over 10 years and I always had a small pasta snack 2 hours before training and a carbohydrate drink an hour before, then another small pasta meal after training along with Amino acid tablets every 3 hours while being awake and just water while in the gym. That method did me well | |||

"When I was powerlifting I found that the biggest culprit for me not having enough energy was usually lack of sleep. I tended to find this in my clients too (I am a qualified personal trainer who used to work with bodybuilders and powerlifters). Most bodybuilders and powerlifters think that the answer to almost everything is to feed themselves more, or more often. Sometimes it's the very simple things that are actually the culprit." Agree with that- I'm on a coaching program at the moment, and my pt is constantly telling me: eat more protein and sleep more. I'm in bed by about half ten every night... Don't know how much more I can sleep!! | |||

That's before you have *anything* else. Protein isn't the be-all and end-all. I was powerlifting and building *lots* of muscle when I was vegetarian and eating minimal amounts of protein - I'm allergic to most types of protein, I can eat very little. You simply do not need as much protein as the bro-scientists say you do. | |||

I eat so much cos I like to eat and my appetite is big and I like the fullness you get of a days eating of all the carbs to. Yes you get about 2000kcal of that amount of chicken, so toghether I eat around 4000kcal aday and that means I am in surplus calories by +1500 for muscle building as its above maintenance. | |||
