Do you think it would be nice to see recent pictures of the person you are meeting or does it leave so much to the imagination to have older pictures on there????

lol, if im meeting someone i want to know what they look like now not ten years ago. Having said that once ive established i am going to meet someone i always do a quick cam check with them just to check.

Personally I think pics should not be much older than say 6 months.. or at least you should update the old ones every so often.. otherwise the Trades Description Act comes to mind.. but hey... it s people's choice what they display ...

Agreed - I was more referring to changes in image... if there has not been much change I would completely agree...

I also think if your appearance has changed a lot in a short space of time, weight loss/gain, hair chopped... nose job, whatever... then maybe it would be good to update...

Some people are very good with photo shop - so even if they do look like the back end of a bus they can still pretend.....

I believe it is down to the honesty and integrity of the person. Some are very honest about themselves, whereas some live in a cloud and are in denial, or have the intention to deceive.

Agreed - nothing wrong with pictures showing off your best assets.. however, would not have mine altered or improved

hey, lets have a party of picture taking and volunteering.. combined with a bit of orienteering... and a few other tricks... add a plain simple 12 pix digicam and away we go... no need for any enhancements lol

I hate having my pic taken but the good thing with a digital camera is you can take as many as you like and see them instantly and keep taking till you find the one/s you're happy with

Well i have clear pictures of myself on my profile, there usually pretty uptodate so they know what there getting when they see me. If they dont like me they dont message me. At least they know what there getting and less likely to be dissappointed when they see me for real

Never cam, talk and meet for coffee during lunch break. In three years only twice have I met someone for coffee who looked nothing like their pic!

Wasted his own time not mine. We were five minutes from my office in central London, he'd finished a meeting in Hastings to meet me!

Shame he was a really nice man, but he was a cross between Bruce Forsythe and Albert Steptoe: I couldn't!

Our pics are never generally longer than 3 months old for Jed and 3 days old for Sasha

and it makes errrrr no difference still "not wanted on voyage" lot but having a great time all the same

I would seriously wonder why they havent got pictures less than ten years old. Its 2010 everyone has the ability to take some kind of photo. Dont think i know many people who havent had a photo taken in ten years. So they have no recent photos and dont own a cam, that would sound pretty dodgy to me

I met a gentleman for a coffee, he told me that he had been chatting to someone from Liverpool, that had pictures on her profile showing a slim size 10-12, he was up that way and arranged to pop round, when he got there she was more like a size 22 and her explaination was that the pictures were 10 yrs old consequently he made his excuses and left

My pics are now about two weeks old, but previous to that were about 12 months old.

It's diff taking good shots when you are the one wielding the camera as well

But am really happy with the ones I have now and didn;t realise my hair had grown so much lol

when perusing profiles last night we stumbled across 2 profiles with public pics ... we were about to move on (as they were the usual "joined over a year ago" but not a single verify) but for some reason we decided to click on their galleries to check the dates when last pics were uploaded...

and the last pics put up on both profiles were ....

in 2008
