Is there anything more painful?

Though watching your child go through it must be a close second

After not long witnessing my eldest son go through it, I think I'd have to say it was more heartbreaking than actually suffering myself.

My first love break up was awfully painful

I await the day my son goes through it and I'm here with open arms.

It's just the feeling of helplessness, and wanting to protect them, but knowing you have to send them out to spread their wings, even if it means knowing they'll get hurt.

Honestly, it doesn't get any better the older you get.

Or you learn what it takes to recover.
