Mine is just over ten years old. Fantastic motor. Drinks oil like a street drinker consumes white cider but very, very reliable.

Just be careful if you choose a diesel. They use a Renault engine which we have found very reliable however if you don't change the oil every 9000 miles with good quality oil the turbo will fail and they aren't cheep. The flywheels on the diesel is weak as well.

Darwen

I would avoid Vauxhall and more so Zafira. Doing 70 down motorway cut out for no known reason in fast lane. Personal opinion but it's a no from me.

In the middle

I have a 51 reg and it has been a great car, pulls like a dream and you can load as much as you like in the back and it still goes like a train

We've got a 14 year old Zafira. Does drink oil but it's been washed out and that cured in fire a good 2 years. Is very reliable and in fact we've still got the original exhaust on it! 120,000 miles on the clock. We couldn't go camping or move or eldest to and from uni without it. That model was better built than the newer models though.

Yeah! Ours had problems with the central locking and alarm from day one. We eventually drowned the alarm in a bucket of water. Got fed up with it going off 24/7.
