North of The Wall - youll need your vest

I have a MacBook and an iPad, both backed up to iCloud. Ive just downloaded my stuff to a new iPad using iCloud.

Does anyone know...if I delete iCloud from my old iPad (it gives me a Delete Account option) does it delete iCloud from all 3 devices or just that particular iPad?

I obviously want to keep my stuff on my MacBook and the new iPad.

Any advice gratefully received

Should just be that device.

It will be just that device. I would recommend resetting the iPad instead though, as it will clear all previous info, if you are not planning on using it yourself again.

I think that is what I want to do, but was just going to leave it a few weeks to make sure everything is ok with the new one...

So...the next question would be - how do I do that?

Lay a tea towel over the screen and bash it with a hammer, or a really big cock. I can lend you a hammer if you like

im pretty sure if you delete icloud, you delete all you have put onto icloud from that ipad, and it will also delete it all from that ipad.if you go to delete icloud from the ipad a notification will pop up to warn you this,as i tried this with an early ipad.not sure about later ones though, there must be a way to save them to icloud so you can pass on any ipad or computer.hmm.seems a lot of iclouds about just now though.....

Your iCloud is linked to all your devices, so if you delete off ur Mac it will more than likely delete off ur iPad too. I have an iPhone and iPad and they are both linked so if I delete off one it goes off the other

You're not deleting the actual cloud account, just removing it from the device. On the older models it said delete but they changed it to say sign out. Both do the same thing though.

But...just been thinking....if it does delete from all of them does it really matter because now it is downloaded to every device would it not just upload again to iCloud when I select to back-up from either the MacBook or the new iPad?

I fecking hate technology

I did that before I started the thread and it confused me even more, thats why I came on here for the Idiots Guide.

Not that anyone offering advice is an idiot of course....

Revert to factory setting clears it all from the device

Deleting your icloud from the device will NOT affect your other devices it simply removes the account from that device.

All your documents etc backed up to icloud will still be there
