Looks like it was their loss, probably lost his bottle and realised you were too good for him.

Pick yourself up and move on. x

Tbh - and sorry if this upsets any of the White knight "they must be mad" brigade - these things happen all the time to men and couples as well as women - and the usual responses to the guys are along the lines of "well you obviously didn't go about things the right way now did you?", "it was probably a fake profile" or "did you swap numbers/chat on the phone/have a social etc".

But of course none of that applies to single women now does it.

Sorry it happened OP - but hey - looks like you've got a queue forming now so all's good!

That might be some people's response to this kind of thread posted by a man, but it shouldn't be either. I hate the assertion that's it's someone's own fault if they've been stood up or messed about and that applies whether they're male, female or a couple.

"Thanks guys. I think I just need to be more careful about how I agree to meet."

The only explanation is he thought it was too good to be true and you'd knock him back if he turned up. I'd rather be knocked back than not take a chance.

Indeed. Did you have contact and confirmation immediately prior to the meet?

He might have been rushed to A&E.

It happens. Good luck with the next one, OP.

O o O oo

There will be someone along soon saying it is all your fault and you should re think how you pick people.

As you are the only one who knows how you pick a person then I am not sure why they think that.

If the person doesn't get in touch with a reason why he/she stood you up then I would report, just in case.

Yes. Had been speaking on the phone for a few days as well as texting. It's more the fact that I was stood out in the cold waiting and he then ignored my calls and texts. I would rather he had the courtesy of saying he wouldn't be making it x

Maybe he was hit by a train or trampled by a herd of wild horses because that's what it would take for me to stand you up

It must have been blooming annoying not to mention cold. I can't see that you could have done anything different really.

It's a shame but it happens to all of us at some point. Just something we have to accept with online arrangements.

Been stood up 8 times so far if that makes you feel any better

Glad we aren't the only ones who think like this .

A no show is not the fault of the persons choice or whatever those who criticise the methods one uses .

A no show is a time wasting pain in the arse who spoils the site and should be reported every time .

OK as like yesterday, abusing other members is not allowed on the forum ( posts removed ) so I am going to shut this now.

To the OP...if the man doesn't get in touch then there is no harm in reporting the profile as a timewaster and let Admin check it out.

Bloke posts similar thread. Result? Advice on why it's probably as much his fault.

Woman posts similar thread. Result? A plethora of guys saying 'their loss', 'must be mad' or 'I'd never do that to you'.

Happens daily.

Starting a thread letting everyone else know generally draws attention to the OP for sure. Gets the sympathy and compliments flowing freely if you have tits and the condescending advice, apathy and occasional ridicule if you own a cock.

"Person gets stood up" is not breaking news in FabLand or swinging in general.
