"what do you do when say since you've last been on-line a new thread has appeared which already has a very long line of posts (say +50 posts) on it? - do you work your way down reading them all until you reach the last? - do you start to work your way down but soon press END when so many {quotes} have extended the length of the thread? - or do you go straight to the bottom of the thread and read recent one's as no doubt any possible posts worth jumping on have already been commented on with same _iew as you? " All of the above at some time or another, depends what the subject matter is

"Lurk on front page of forum... Watch number of posts rise quickly... Spot new post by "RugbydoesMFM" STRAIGHT to the bottom at breakneck speed to see if it's kicked off...!! Disappointment when Rugby post says "i also like kittens..." Resume lurking position. " Oooooh a kindred spirit: I do that too when Rugby posts. I look out for "thread closed..." before scrolling to see who was naughty. I know, get a life! I read top to bottom but if I stumble upon pages of Wikipedia or "love ins" my low boredom threshold kicks in and I abandon reading!
