Just hope for the best & keep in mind no matter how well written your profile is, you can't please everyone. Better not to be too over reliant as it may just mess up with your head.

I always send face pictures to guys I'm contacting. I wouldn't ask them for one without showing my own.

I actually don't mind posting face pics every now and then, I flip em up for a weekend or so...

I very rarely message anyone and when I do its usually because something interesting caught my eye.

So some are one liners, but I'm never gonna talk to them again so who cares...

Mainly, write a killer profile... Write about yourself, if you ever had to state your case for existence to the gods and they only gave you 5 minutes... Who are you?

Then you can edit it a little once a month...

But it must be you... Strangely you will find you can be poetic about yourself.

For us its simply read our profile and make sure you match our wants and dont tick any dont wants because if you do you aint getting a reply! We get no end of messages from people who are either exactly what we have said we dont want or asking for something we have stated we cant/dont do. If they cant be bothered to properly read the profile and figure that out we cant be bothered to reply unless its to point out thier ignorance and block them in the hope they will learn to read profiles in future

Make sure you're what they're looking for is the best advice. If you're not, you're wasting effort.

Your message and profile needs to reflect you. This is the only way that others can get a feel for you, and what makes you different to the next guy.

And visit clubs and get to know couples, so you're not pinning everything on the success of your messages.
