I've also got a tiny cute one with the stretchy strap.. It's a wind up one. It doesn't fit me and it's older than my dad... So it's on my teddy bears neck for safe keeping.

I wear my Breitling on special occasions only! It cost me £2500 but it's because I liked the craftsmanship and it was to mark an occasion in my life!

They will be good heirlooms! Treat yourself!

I used to feel naked without a watch (only a cheapy one, if I'm splurging, it's Raybans rather than Tag Heueueueueueur or however the feck you spell it)...a few months ago I got a bit of a skin irritation under my watch strap so I stopped wearing it and I've not bothered since

Most of mine are cheapies off eBay, I've got a few fakes and an 18ct gold rolex with a 18ct president bracelet. I've had my rolex 10-15yrs and probably only worn it around 10 times..... seems a waste

It'll be worth a few quid. If you don't want to hand it down, you could always sell it and buy something else?

Yeah my mate keeps telling me rolexes increase around 20% pa ( I can't see it ) he keeps asking me how much I want for it. It's chronologically certified, Si said it's a great piece of craftsmanship it'll only lose xx seconds per year..... It's automatic so stops..... When I wear it, I set it by my phone so it's never the right time

I used to wear a diamanté fake that dint work so it only told the right time twice a day

Useless, but it looked good lol

Changes in the price of new Rolex are often down to currency and, where relevant, precious metal prices.

Second hand Rolex prices soared a few years back but have levelled off as more and more come onto the market - thanks to austerity.

Got 3 but only wear 2 mostly, main one is Rolex oyster perpetual, had it 22 years now and is still perfect to the second, next is a MontBlanc got it duty free from a trip to Dubai the duty saving paid for the trip to Dubai and the third is a Burberry, don't wear it much as it's got a brown strap and I like things to match so as I wear a black suit mostly it doesn't !!!!! That's why I wear the Rolo with gold/metal strap and MB with metal strap

They do increase in value and they will eventually become a vintage piece! That's the only problem I find with automatics, it's that unless you wear them regularly, they will stop working or lose time!

Get it valued,my ou might be surprised!

I love watches! And always notice them on others. I buy cheap bargains. Got a white metal Rolex president bracelet. A white large breil with diamanté bezel which I love. A little DG oblong face, diamantes and pink leather strap which I don't wear much as strap would be tricky to replace. Got a waterproof white Adidas with rainbow face. Have a ladies chrono breitling with red leather strap needs repairing . Also a white metal Gucci 'G' watch.

And lots of different cheapo watches that appeal to me. X

MAMOBA, miles and miles of bugger all (Aberdeenshire)

Every day is a silver hugo boss with a black face, have a beautiful Raymonf Weil as well for special, and look after a couple of watches that will be handed down to my son - one nothing fancy but huge sentimental value as it was my great-grandads and has been owned by him, my granda, my dad, and one day, my son.

I have 4 and all need new batteries!

Have two storm watches, nice but very fashiony!

Have a fossil watch, silver with purple face and diamontes round face.. Very girly and pretty!

My fave is my Nixon all black manual! Got it for an absolute steal in New York as they put it in the sale by accident so was $80 at the time worked out to be £40

In the UK it was selling for £250 so very happy!

Id love a chanel watch but not going to happen for a long time!

My breitling needs a new battery and a service, I was quoted about £250. They aren't cheap to repair or maintain unfortunately!

Worth it though. Even with servicing and insurance, a good watch is probably the best £ per wear you can get.
