Saw them support black stone cherry on halloween they were awesome! I love the synchronised guitar playing and head banging

Check out Escape from New York & Big Trouble in Little China writer/director John Carpenter's debut solo album Lost Themes. It's really making waves and I'm not surprised.

Original tracks produced in between sitting at home retired and playing XBox games with his son all day.

There are two tracks on Youtube (maybe more now) Vortex and Night. They're all instrumentals but it's pure retro in the style he used to score his films.

Look up The Riptide Movement. Irish band that are currently on the up. Really good band and definitely worth a listen!
