Kissing Strangers.....

I know ! I know ! You thought it was going to be surreptitious sex......

It's not

I've got into the habit of putting a x or two at the end of replies.

Then I think ....why the Fuff am I x'ing strangers and worse still ... weirdos!

It's spread into my text messagin' and I SWEAR I will x my boss one of these days!

Anyone else x'ing away inappropriately?

I'm going to break the habit! Starting now!

I have not done that to my boss yet, that's because I sign off differently with my initials rather than just one initial.

Snap out of it now, or peeps will think you are turning fluffy!

You are right not to put xxx's after a message I take it literally! I have had 4 relationships at work because women put kisses at the end of IMs. I'm beginning to think they didn't mean it as a come on now, but having said that they were all up for it lol.

I know what you mean - I am finding myself doing the same thing - signing of with my intitial followed by an x - with texting and sending messages on here. Then wondering if the x is some kind of 'go ahead get friendly' signal!

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I've seen smilies and abbreviations creep into work emails (and a CV!) In the last 2 or 3 years, but still no sign of a spurious cyber- air kiss.

But in some cases...I live in hope...

In fact i tend to put two xx now. Its very hard to stop doing it. Its not too bad on a forum when you have the smilies to chose from but just the full stop looks odd to me now

i do it all the time!! even to my boss who im convinced is satans scarier uglier sister! and at end of messages here and private mails!! think il try and stop it! never thought of it bein taken the wrong way! il go back to using full stops! x.

i did that in a email to work and it was a high up manager but he took it good natured way and i still got my bonus

Dan's done that. We're always texting each other because we have phones off/silent jobs. In between our texts he got a message from his boss and replied with a XxX flourish at the end!!! He's also absent mindedly given baby bye, bye wave to his boss lol
