Used to grow loads of different shit at a previous address, but live in a 3rd floor flat now. Ma mate has a big garden so I just nick his, he grows tomatoes, chillies & peppers as well

I have silver queen lemon scented thyme, another lemon scented thyme, ordinary Thyme which is very good at self Setting

From seed, some rosemary taken from a Cutting, sage, and have grown basil from Seed they made a good showing till Whitefly found them and they were lovely Plants before that, common mint, and Pineapple and ode cologne mint in the past which I,ve made mint sauce with Basil,s nice but so are The rest.

If you've a south-ish facing window, chilli & coriander are easy to grow on your windowsill - & coriander would have to be thee easiest of seeds to sow.

Tarragon is uniquely wonderful, but I rarely use it. Used to grow it but just do Sage, Rosemary, Oregano, Chives now. Grow watercress but not really a herb but adore it and very healthy.

Anyway, my answer is mint. I adore it and happily eat mint leaves alone. Can't wait to get my own space so I can grow some.

I like thyme but its a fucking ball ache to use, not so when new but I freeze what I dont use.

Ive had a re-think and I think the best is Curry Leaves, I cant see why it isnt a 'urb.

Theres no other taste like it and transform your curries

Mine is coriander but I do love basil. Got a load growing nicely this year but it is sloooowwwww even in the greenhouse because of the crappy weather we've been having. Mood.

It's easy to grow from cuttings though. Just snip a stem off and leave the stem in water for a few weeks (leaves out of water obviously) and roots will start growing. Just pot on when they roots are long enough.

I have grown Basil from seed a couple of times. I've just chucked them in and watered them and they have been fine. Probably beginners luck...

Mint is one that I struggle with, it never comes back the following year.

Always got Rosemary, Sage, Thyme and Chives growing in my garden.

Can't choose a favourite as I like them all.

Basil is easy to grow from seed, I have two big trays of it in my lounge window at the moment, and a couple of big pots in the mini greenhouse!

Growing loads and loads of it this year, because there's loads of tomato plants in the garden too, and hopefully that means I'm going to have loads of pasta sauce made for the winter...

I tend to cook with taragon or lemongrass

but in a lot of countries is actually used as a flavouring additive. It's just our country as a whole has a bland outlook on many things.....especially culture.

and before a debate starts I'm not saying we arent a multicultural society etc. Etc. Im just saying plenty of english people are fully blind to culture

I grew some nice Basil plants from seed once grew them Indoors then whitefly came along I did My best to eradicate this pest but they Succeeded in their mission of destruction.
