Getting excited yet?! What plans this year? Just bought some ornamental cherries and peach,moving along nicely for the Japanese theme! looking forward to all the blossom!

I planted a couple rose bushes late last year and already have a palm tree. I'm looking to do something with a patch near my front door, it's got a horrible prickly bush there that was cut down but, growing fast n furious!!

The garage is being rebuilt here which has trashed the garden.

If I want to see a nice garden I go to jays he has 2acres and an orchard and paddock and in the spring the orchard is full of daffodil's

I went to a local garden centre yesterday and bought 2 spring hanging baskets to get some colour in the garden and a gorgeous white 3 stem orchid.

I have lots of pots with roses in and had three trees cut down a few months ago . Two were horse chestnut which was blocking so much light that stopped my day lillies from flowering, so hopefully will see them this year.

Perhaps a pyracantha one of a few in the same family of plants usually have tiny flowers and red berrys the prickles can be bl**dy Vicious too some birds love the berries amazeing how they get past the Prickle,s how nature Intended I suppose there alright for out of sight Boundary bushes used to keep people Out of green house,s or getting close To on one park I knew but I don,t Think they have been popular with the Status quo for the reason you mention But their certainly tough plants..

I am getting very excited about getting my garden back this year. I have to revive my roses that have been neglected and plant some new ones. I haven't decided which plants I want where yet but I'm thinking of a rockery at the end and some camellias

I like to have a wild corner of my garden where I sprinkle a mix of wild flower seeds. I like to attract butterflies and bees to my garden,I have a buddleia which gets covered in butterflies in the summer. I'm getting a honeysuckle for the smell it gives off in the evenings

Very nice! I have five different varieties of buddleia! Even a yellow pom-pom type!

I'm about to sow some Hibiscus seeds - it's my second year with a number of perennial species, and some struggled to have sufficient growth last year to really flower prolifically.

I've got a large Bouganvillea - 4 feet or so across - and this is about to come and sit indoors, by the radiators, to encourage it to sprout and grow leaves. It should then have at least 4 months of glorious bright bracts that smother it.

I tend to love gardening on the edge, perhaps a little like my life. I grow borderline hardy plants and tropicals as a main interest. I've many palms that I've grown from seed - real palms, not those Torbay Cordylines - and also harvest my own citrus fruit.

My Bottle Brush plants are suspended atm, with buds about to open once it gets warmer. I love these Ozzie plants, with unique large dazzling flowers. I may start some new ones from seeds.

I'm going to do a last minute check of what other new plants I'm going to experiment with this year and get ordering.

My advice on Wisterias is to ensure that they're grafted plants, as grafted will flower at an earlier age than seed grown. It's also useful to buy when in flower, if at all possible, as you do get to ensure that your chosen plant may not take years to become flowering size. I planted my first when I was young at school and love them, including their fragrance. If you get to Hidcote Manor gardens they have some really mature specimens there that look wonderful in early summer. However, you sound like you're an experienced grower, so aiming not to patronise you with what I'm suggesting.

. Have all my tulips planted so looking forward to a good display . Spent about £200 on them so must have a good result . Dalhias are all currently stored and I check them regularly for any signs of mould ..Geraniums will be planted when it is a little hotter plus lots of bedding plants . I also love the smell of a freshly mown lawn and eating my own home grown potatoes

When I was a kid me and my friends used to raid people's gardens at night, take their pots, ornaments and sorts and put them in their neighbours gardens lol

when I was in asda on saturday there were a line up of garden knomes and they Had to be around 3` tall I did,nt check To see if they were solid or not they would weigh some weight if they were Solid all in their reds and greens It would soon go walkies in my front garden Well any along my street..

Veg, salad and soft fruits, plus loads of tubs with flowers, love dahlias.
