Past Valentine Successes or Failures

Derbyshire

It was exactly 21 years ago today, that I went down on one knee, in the back of a horse-drawn carriage, in Brugges, and asked the love of my life to marry me.

Naturally, ever the romantic, she declined.

Fortunately, with the help of copious quantities of Belgian Chocolate, I persuaded her to reconsider.

What past Valentine successes or failures stick in your mind?

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I don't recall a single Valentine's Day, either when I was in a relationship or single.

I guess nothing particularly memorable happened on any of them.

One valentines day my bf at the time took me to Stratford I woke up to champagne and strawberries and a trail of rose petals to the bath and rose petals in the bath. Funny thing is we split up valentines day the year after

I've only ever had one valentines where I had a boyfriend, two years ago. He sent me a rose and chocolates, which was nice.

Still waiting for an epic one.. Maybe my expectations are just too high. But will I lower then? Hell NO!

SOUTH WEST & WALES

26 years ago today soppy Mr W turned up at my flat after work with a lovely bunch of flowers. I didn't have a Valentine's gift or even a card for him so I whisked him off to the bedroom for an unforgettable shag. Our son was born 41 weeks later.

My sister got married in the ice palace in Finland on valentines day. 11 years later he's still putting up with her so I guess it was a success

In a 30 year relationship I got the grand total of 0 cards or presents for Valentines day from my husband. Not even a happy valentines day. So you could say all of them were a bit crap
