Elderly Care Homes/Abuse

The government has issued some advice on if you suspect someone elderly or vulnerable is being abused in care homes. This subject really makes me mad. In the advice it says things like if your secret filming do it so that others are not in screen shot. I think just the alarm being raised should be enough. They'll be asking for certain attire to be worn in screenshot next.

You can only put a hidden cam in a private room, ie your relatives bedroom you can not film in comunial areas, so long as the cam is in your own private room you are allowed to film anyone who goes into that room

I would just like to urge people to remember there are thousands of good care homes across the country and not to get cought up in the hate factor of these stories, of course bad homes need sorting but please don't judge all homes the same just because its only the bad ones that make the news

That's all folks

Yes you can only film in certain areas, but if it was a shared room my issue is that abuse should be bought into the open. Rather then be in favor of the abuser. By telling the innocent party what they can and can't do. If I suspected one of my relations was being abused I would do whatever is needed to find out. Not purposely invading someone's privacy. Also most care homes we've had to deal with are money influenced so I think they majority are slacking.
