We are all a bunch of pisstakers on here so the responses are not personal

I think people have overdosed on everything to do with 50 shades at the moment

I know lots of women away from the world of fab who are all looking forward to seeing it

I shant go because I never go to the cinema but I expect lots of women and men will enjoy it. I hope they have a lot of safe, sane, consensual fun.

Despite the impression given most people on here are aware that what one person enjoys another will

12th post about this today. And the general consensus is that if it is as good as the book, enjoy the popcorn and icecream.

That's the thing, and perhaps one of the main reasons, I never read the books... To us depraved lot, it may be deemed a little tame.

To those in the vanilla world, and a lot of the naive girls, I work alongside, 50 shades, gives them a peek into something they know little about. They are fascinated and find it a little hot.

There are many bits of writing that could be considered irresponsible. "

I agree - but we are talking about 50 Shades here

But its a book about an abusive relationship it shouldn't be peoples glimpse into the world because a healthy D/s dynamic doesn't involve abuse and rape and disrespect

Indeed we are but I wonder why this book has provoked such comment while others haven't. It's good to discuss around a topic I think

I haven't read the book so I can't comment on that but I feel the same way about most of the porn I have read and watched. Nearly all of it shows women with no pubic hair who are ready to be fucked with little or no foreplay that shouldn't be people's glimpse into the world of sex.

Like I said, I've not read the books, I can only go by their reactions, and constant excited nattering, when the books first came into cirulation.

And I had no idea there was a rape scene in the books/film.

Didn't get a chance to answer this properly as I was a naughty boy with my link

But yes Rape - He ignores her consent multiple times

The books romanticise rape and abusive relationships - everytime I see a woman on here whose status says looking for my Mr Grey I want to shake them and shout NO NO NO Mr Grey is an abusive controlling disrespectful rapist please don't go looking for a douche bag like that

Three seperate friends went to see it over the weekend. Two thoroughly enjoyed it the other wasn't sure but said she enjoyed the night out withe girls. All said the cinemas were packed.

In my opinion. Mr Grey isn't exactly an abusive dom. He gives the gires wants a contract that they can opt out of at any time they like. The vanilla world is unknown to him and the relationship he has with Ana opens up feelings he has never felt before.

I loved the books, and liked the film. But I think it would be a very interesting read from his side. But the film left out so much detail

It's one of those marmite things. Your either going to love it or hate it...

he tells her he wont do anything without a contract or safeword in place then straight away says forget the contract and gets it on with her.

And I am not talking about a critical re_iew of the artistic value of the book or film. I am talking about the fact that it is just a shitty representation of D/s relationships and is not something that curious dominants and submissives should use as an introduction to that side of kink.

The books were not erotic tho......badly written, yes. Frankly funny, often.

I'm off to see it on Wednesday with a fab lady friend. We do this because we love the programme gogglebox and the way people find humour in really bad TV.

We expect to do the same with this film. The books were tame in the extreme....the film apparently more so....but bound to be rib-ticklingly funny in places.

A Dom should not be abusive. Anyone who thinks that Dom and Abusive go together is soooo wrong it defies belief.

D/S is a lifestyle choice. Abuse is a criminal offence!

"In my opinion. Mr Grey isn't exactly an abusive dom. "

I respect your opinion However I cant understand how you think his behavior is not abusive. This have been copied from a blog about what is wrong with 50 shades and this is just a quick list.

Reading her email and phone messages without their knowledge or consent

Controlling who she can and cannot spend time with outside of the relationship

Refusing to allow that partner any trustworthy source of knowledge about those kinks other than yourself

Making a romantic relationship dependent on indulging non-mutual kinks

Reacting to the sentiment “no, I don’t want to have sex with you right now” by threatening to tie the speaker up, taking their clothes off, and… having sex with them
