Those who know me, know I have had a few health issues, which I have stubbornly survived. The latest is liver problems so it is advisable that I give up alcohol... but as I organise parties (not swinging ones) where the beer flows freely that is a bit of an issue.

I hate sweet drinks, and consider Coke to be evil without lots of rum. I can cope with the occasional lime & soda but can't make an evening of it.. which leaves me with water, which upsets landlords!

So what non alcoholic drinks do you lot enjoy when out and about?

Cranberry Juice (reminds me of that scene from The Departed) and do they still do a Bitter Lemon?

Orange and lemonade as well as cranberry juice are too sweet for me, will give the becks a go though, will at least include me in the rounds. Need to find something by the summer as I have organised a 2000+ gathering where I will need to be sociable almost 24 hours a day for 4 days.

Cardiff

I like to alternate.

Orange juice and soda (be patient with it as its not great at the start)

Coke

Pineapple juice

J2o's

There's a wide range and most all look more appealing that beer, plus the taste is superb.

It's lovely with gin. But that doesn't help at all does it.

Menston near Ilkley

I never drink at home, so even if I have visitors I'm comfortable with them drinking, I'll have a cup of tea.

However, you try getting me out of a pub.

Home is not a problem I drink black coffee most of the time. It's just going out with my social group I find difficult, also find vanilla nights out without alcohol I am ready for home and bed by 11pm which is a bit wrong....

I used to drink non-alcoholic MathersBlack Beer and lemonade- looked like a pint of Guinness lol-black beer was really bitter and took the sweetness out of lemonade- not sure if they still make it though

"Do you prefer still or sparkling drinks? "

Still drinks, my usual pub drink is an ale of some sort, not fond of anything sweet, and my previous experience of pub non alcoholic drinks is they are always been way to sweet. so I end up drinking tap water, which is fine, but...

Will try that, some of them look OK but are too sweet on their own.,

Thanks, they won't clear up, I am already 10 years past my use by date, but the side effects of the drugs that got me this far are kicking back, just want the end when it comes to be a surprise cliff edge not a gentle slope

Going to try the becks, internet wine is no good as I am happy with black coffee at home, though the 17 bottles of vodka, 30+ of wine and many other spirits behind me right now make it look bad, they are only really used when we hold parties here.
