Good deed .

In this world of dark times an not much in the way of things that make you smile or give you that warm feeling .it seems to me that the dying art of just helping a someone in need is disapearing . We all have to be somewhere or rushing for no apparent reason .i ask this question .when was the last time you took time to help a complete stranger and how did it make you feel ?. X

There was a lady crying in the street. She had a baby in the pram. I asked her if she was ok but she said her partner had hit her and gone off somewhere leaving her without money. The baby was crying but she couldn't buy baby food. I took her in the pharmacy and bought baby milk for her then took her for a coffee and a heart to heart.

I often buy homeless people food.

I dish out £10 notes to kids who busk, fair play to them for trying!

One of my friends is a single parent, so I help her out with around £200 a month for her to get by ok.

Today was marie carie in the supermarket, made no difference the four people in front all walked by on the way out. I would of donated anyway, it wasnt much.

I also did a few extra jobs for a customer but that was business minded, I also gave a bag of mini eggs away to my mate, phew, thats a biggy for me

I had a neighbour who was pregnant and on benefits so I got her loads of stuff like a cot,moses basket baby seat ,steriliser etc for the baby from Freecycle

Currently have a friend who is not looking after herself properly so make the excuse that I've over-catered for myself to provide her with some proper home cooked food instead of the sandwiches and cereals she subsists on

How do you know it made no difference to them? Perhaps they gave on the way in? Perhaps they already donate regularly?

I guess I do quite a bit for some people but never really thought anything of it until now, just looking out for a couple of the elderly neighbours, if they need anything, putting the bins out, that kind of stuff, nothing special really.

I helped a lovely old couple on a motorway services one night, they were completely disorientated and had no idea which way they were going and I had visions of them driving the wrong way! We ended up just chatting for about an hour then as I was due to leave anyway I just got them to follow me until they felt comfortable.

They were a right pair, old chap was 89 and his wife was a few years younger and they were driving their motorhome from a the tip of Cornwall up to the top end of Scotland for a holiday. I thought about them a lot after as I admired them for still enjoying life and the passion to get out and do something.

I help to raise money for charity. I try n help where I can. Someone thought I was crying in the coffee shop tiday and popped over to make sure I was ok which I appreciated. I want I'd just rubbed my eyes and knocked my contact lense out of place x

Not a stranger but I bought my best friend a heat pad for her shoulders and neck as she has spondlitus, upsets me to see her in pain.

Last good deed I did for a stranger was buy a sleeping bag and blanket for a homeless man

I agree. It feels like the world is descending into chaos with himsnitu disappearing.

I can't live with myself if I dont hold a door open or talk to the people struggling. Was in london today, one second seeing immense wealth, the next seeing true homeless guys. Call me soft but I went into subway and got them a hot drink and sandwich. Maybe they were eccentric millionaires.... I hope so. Its unbelievable in the 21st century.

Last week at work was driving thru farnborough and see an elderly guy crossing the rd to the bus stop when he suddenly fell quite hard , I got out van asked if he was ok he was little shaken and said he would be ok, I told him to get in the van as I would not want to leave him waiting for a bus and I drove him home to aldershot, made me fill like I had done a decent thing , but got caught in tons traffic after lol

So many wonderful people who have taken the time to read our post .love your generous and caring nature of you all. So its just the little things that really make a big difference to someone else and knowing that these people do exist an take no praise for what they do really can make a differance to us all .never change your ways an one day that hand you lent today just might Be the hand that will help you tomorrow.thank you xxx

Monday. The lady who runs toddler group came into a charity shop I volunteer in. She looked at a baby gate we had in and was going to buy it for her friend (no fixings so she didnt). I said I had one at home she could have.

I took it to toddler group and the lady had sent me £5 as im a single mum too and id helped her out.

Ive also recently found out a chap that comes for training has cancer in his spine, wondered if my heat pad *which is amazing would help him so gave it to him hes super pleased

and a neighbour doesn't have a coat for his dog so mine donated one of theirs to her

Found an I phone in tescos car park. Handed it in, told them the car I think it came from. Left not asking for owt even to know whos it was
