scroobius pip

the beat that my heart skipped

shitty music but fantastic lyrics....

''Every now and then I cower and I need to find empowerment

Empowerment is paramount to how I can begin to mount

A plan that I can implement

To make a dent on ignorance

Instead of d*unk belligerence

And the dissidence of miscreants

Especially in this instance

With the never ending persistence

To use the words in each sentence

As if they were blunt instruments

To beat a hole in the defence

Of this beauty and her innocence

Which serves to just build resistance

In spite of all my good intents''

but i'm listening to darlin nikki by prince....

"Mines Plan B She Said.....I can't stop singing it "

I think Plan B are fantastic..

I used to sing that all the time. I download before release. It was number one quite some months ago.

I also like 'Stay too Long' by them which was out before 'She said'

Right now im loving eminem ......

Love the line ' So you'd stand and watch me burn .....well that's alright I love the way it hurts' .

He's matured and is pretty good to look at with dark hair.

Mind you ....... I have had a strong attraction to Newton Faulkner for some time now. Such passion and humanity .....

"And I'm running out of patience

To be fucking with this now

You better believe me when I say

This now

And I'm packing up my night bag

And I'll be on my way

You better find me some time

When you have more to say"

Well, all this good music about over the last few months...

Although we never "left the fold" We are at the moment listening to classic Pink Floyd! Also Wishbone Ash, Barclay James Harvest and Dire Straits! But please don't ask me to choose just one track!

Before I mention my fave tune of the moment I have to say my tastes are eclectic and I wouldn't necessarily go for easy listening every time, in fact electro is probably my fave type being an old (very old) breakdancer.

BUT!

I have a discovered an easy listening genius!!!

Her name is Rumer and the single is Slow and is out now!

I urge anyone who has ever got trippy on Karen Carpenter to download it or watch the video on youtube, she only has an EP of 3 songs out right now but she is working on an album.

It's refreshing to see a young English singer trying something that maybe isn't immediately cool!

Awesome!

Radio 2 have been playing that for a few weeks now, great track and the likeness to Karen Carpenter is unreal.

Oh great I haven't heard her on the radio, I'm glad she has been picked up on play lists.

Her other stuff isn't as Karen Carpenter-like but is just as good.

I am really liking "Thinkin' bout something" by Hanson...yes,the little girls who sang Mmmbop!

BUT they have grown up and this song is a great pop song, with a great video: a takeoff of "shake your tail feather" from The Blues Brothers, check it out on Youtube.

And for the ladies, they also look pretty easy on the eye
