Not if you're buying a puppy it's not.

I sometimes think it isn't. There just seems to be a fate, a chemical change, when meeting a certain someone sometime in life.

But am I? If anyone has felt love at first sight, has it lasted?

Wasn't quite at first sight but at the second date I knew I wanted Mrs N for keeps. We've been together for 15 years nearly

you can love everyone, even if you hate them.

but that rush and feelings you get when you're obsessed with someone isn't being in love, it's the start of that process if it turns into something deeper.

Yes, twice.. I am exceptionally lucky, also good at putting myself in harms way.

Love at first sight could not exist in my world.

Lust? Absolutely!

Chemistry ? Definitely!

Love as something that resonates with the depth of a person, their values, their innermost being... I think it needs time.

Maybe?

Good point. I see what you mean that it takes time to develop but i do think it's there at the beginning. When it's real anyways.

Yes it has. My wife and I have been together 33 years. I was chilling at school when this beautiful young woman approached me asking for a dime to make a phone call. I didn't have any money so I got a dime from another student and stared into her blue eyes and melted. I asked her out right there. It's been a great ride!

"You know, I think you could be right.

The first time my ex-husband saw me he fell in love with me. He was talking to a female friend of his as I walked towards them. She turned around to see what had got his attention, smiled at me and walked off.

He stood there looking gormless before saying "hi". I was 18...two years later we married.

It lasted 25 years. The death of our only son tore us apart, but we remained close, until my partner moved in, now we don't talk.

I'm think it's real list is just the strong feeling for sex, love is such a strong feeling sex takes a back seat. Just my opinion

Not in my world. Not anymore at least.

I'm would never allow myself to feel like that, because its the gateway to being hurt and damaged by other human beings.

spread the love around. don't concentrate your love in little patches here and there. you'll always be loved back.

Definitely lust and not love.

However there's also a big difference between stomach churning, all consuming lust, rather than just thinking about someone a lot.

Anyhow, lust at first sight has a much sexier ring to it, but in my case, that could be a significant percentage of the female population

I think lust is possible, however love takes time you have to get to know someone first

No, I believe in lust at first sight and I believe you can be taken aback by someone at first sight (aka, become breathless or melt upon first contact without any sexual thought what so ever) but to me, love develops from getting to know them.

Yep! Totally identify with this and my Mrs N is still here 19 years and counting.
