Having a weekend in London with my sister soon. Can anyone recommend and shows to go and see? She's never been to one but I've seen Starlight Express, The Wizard of Oz and Chigago.

I'd second Billy Elliott and Les Mis.

If you want to bag a bargain though and you're open to suggestions on what to see - get to Leicester Square when you arrive in London.

There are booths which sell last minute tickets for many of the popular shows at around half price.

Xx

Book of Mormon was great... Wasn't sure I'd enjoy it but was pleasantly surprised!

You'd love it! I'm thinking of going again.

OP, Wicked isn't for everyone. I think it only has one good tune and I found it tedious. I love musical theatre so that's hard for me to say.

The Scottsboro Boys finishes soon so that's the one I'd see.

Of course you should finish off with a club if that's what you fancy.

Hmmm, it's irreverent about religion and Mormonism in particular.

Mormons go to Africa to save the natives, they fight their requirement to remain pure as they struggle to convert said natives.

It manages to be borderline racist, offensive and funny with great songs throughout.

I didn't take to that but I saw the film version a few years ago.
