Naming and shaming via the forums and status is one thing but seeing a local couple post a status up about a certain male member being a child molester is another.

Sometimes I question the level of intelligence and maturity of people here. Things like that are serious, and possibly, life changing accusations.

Who the hell does that?

Wow...that's just unspeakable. if it's unfounded they are seriously out of order. If they have a basis for the claim they need to report it to the police...not the world of fab.

I've reported it and the status has gone. I wish I screen captures it now. Not sure if that is logged or not. I'm not about a witch hunt. But I hope something is done about it

It's slanderous and can cause a lot of harm. Imagine what rumours are being spread off this site by them!

Whether it's true or not, it's not for them to say or dish justice.

If he was how would this couple know? Im sure he would be as stupid as to tell people.

And if the couple did know for certain surly they would have gone to the police?

This is a big bug bear of mine that the only crimes in britain that your almost guilty untill proven innocent for a sex crimes its shocking everyone has a right to innocent untill proven guilty.

Example look at the politicians etc that are been named through the media of such a such sex allegation (coronation street, actors) there proven not guilty but they have still been named and shamed as a sex offender and people will still judge them as one and jump on the no smoke without fire wagon annoys me i think that sex offenders regardless of who they are should be allowed anonymity until proven guilty as it is a life changing accusation.

If someone goes to court for murder gets proven innocent then thats it most people accept he is not a mureder he didnt do it but sex offences people still think hmmm i still think he did it why

There is some very nasty people who dont understand that people round them might be 10 times nastier than they are. They think there bin a big man naming and shaming them but then when your local vigilante goes round and delivers his justice assaulting or worse killing them because he has seen on social networking that he is a peado and thinks well if its on social media it must be true. Then its proven it was all rumours and he was not guilty now who has to live with guilt all there lifes people should not tell other people about there concerns but use official channels. Busy bodies comes to mind
