Who remembers this show back from when was on BBC1 in the 90s?

I loved watching this show when I was a kid and managed to find a few episodes on Youtube. I remember some episodes including a bonfire night special and one including a lad with a javelin through his neck.

Anyone else remember this?

I don't know a thing about the BBC one tv series 999 hosted by Michael Buerk that ran for over eleven years. Never heard of it.

It was kind of like watching Crimewatch with how both shows had recreations of what happened. Would be nice to see it back on TV but its a shame it got cancelled back in 2003

Thought I'd bump this after watching a few episodes of this classic programme on YouTube a couple of days ago. I still think the BBC should bring 999 back on TV as it was such a great programme
