I travel a lot with work so I tend to stay away over night. Why is it harder to sort out a meeting on Fab when I'm away than when I'm at home? I thought this was a casual sex site?

I understand, but I'm not always looking for one off meetings, and I prefer to meet socially first. I was wondering if people feel more vulnerable when meetings someone not local to them?

A casual sex site? It is a site that enables communication. Some might like a geographical visitor from time to time, others may not.

Just because people can meet for sex doesn't mean they have to meet for sex.

For ease of selection some people associate those 'staying in the area' as those who are married and playing away while they are on business. Whether this is the case or not is irrelevant to them. They make a snap judgment on the information available to them and previous experiences.

Then there is the 'getting to know you' stage. You say you always meet for a social first but how does that work if you are there for one night only?

It's not impossible to find people interested in what you are offering. I used to meet people just passing through, but it will be harder.

Do you start looking for potential meets as soon as you know where you'll be? Or do you sit in the bar hoping to catch someone's eye then message some woman at 1120pm because you struck out?

I do the former, most men do the latter. I don't appreciate being someone's last resort, and I think planning in advance will give you a much better chance to arrange meets.

Some people don't like meeting guys who are working away and staying in a hotel, i always feel it is more likely that they are cheating on a partner .... i know thats not always the case but in my experience it is often true.

I tend to message ahead, as I know last minute meets for us guys are rare. I'm not cheating but it feels that way when I'm working away and staying in hotels. Dare I say it's part of the excitement.

Do what I do check the days meets for that area if that no good look for the nearest club and chill and relax with like minded people might get lucky it's worked for me for many years
