Why are some people rude and arrogant?

I mean here, and elsewhere too.

Some profiles are full of arrogance as well, and respond appropriately too.

Unless there are people who find rudeness and arrogance attractive?

Why on earth did you message them in the first place?

Yes, some people are rude and arrogant but I have also found that arrogance is an accusation that can be chucked around fairly freely at times by those hurt because someone's preferences exclude them or because someone said no.

One person may see arrogance where someone else may not.

Agree. The "tolerance" level is different from person to person. But still, there are some general concepts about what is rude and what is not.

OK, but I have yet to find someone who is purely arrogant without there being some kind of 'issue' underlying it. Usually the most arrogant people are the most damaged and insecure. If they merely feel superior, they are still suffering poor socialisation at best!

Not a snowball's chance on hell. I decline men, regardless of physical attraction if I don't like their attitude.

It's not uncommon on here for me to get messages from (physically) really hot guys that either are crude from the outset or go straight from an initial hello message to specifics about what they want to do with me etc.

They assume because they're hot I'll jump into bed without knowing anything about them. Uh, no. I need to feel there's a connection with someone first. Physical appeal is not enough.

Some people are just like that ... Life has made them some how like it .. Bitter and become rude and arrogant, And at times its a cover up for a person who is really unhappy and think the world owe them something so have this chip on their shoulder in life.

I think some people take me far too seriously. Yes I can be opinionated and lacking in tact at times, but i'm generally poking fun at myself. My profile for example, some might see it as arrogant. I see it as my sparkling wit trying to push through the frustration. But i'm not that fussed, if people don't see it for what it is, we're probably incompatible.

i have a dry sense of humor which doesnt translate well in emails and in real life im quite shy which can be misinterpreted as unfriendly

On here I think that some get their egos massaged so much they begin to believe their own hype and become arrogant arsewipes

Some have become jaded with all the wrong people getting in touch and havn't discovered that filters will make their lives easier so they just get huffy and whingy instead

Some are just the same in real life

Big difference between arrogance and self belief/ confidence but sometimes people mix up the two. Arrogance is often borne out of lack of self confidence to hide an insecurity (which I guess we all have sometimes).

Confidence is hugely attractive and very sexy in both men and women. Arrogance is a bit offputting, to mee anyway.
