Ive come to the conclusion that I really need to take some new pictures for my profile here. But its impossible to do at home, hardly any privacy and taking selfies isnt the best option. Apologies for the rant, but having looked at some profiles here, their pictures are bloody good

It's very difficult to take pics of yourself but I find that if you set your camera somewhere and set it on timer you can get some half decent results.

Although to be fair, even if I used a professional, I'm not sure it would help.

Just not very....photogenic.

I find it very easy to do, you can video yourself then use the video editor to select best frame or even put it on the timer

you could always try yer camera in flash mode etc make a change from the normal picks if Successful.

Always worth setting a lamp or torch slightly in front and to one side of you off camera to get a pleasing effect.

I like to use the inbuilt camera on my laptop. I can see the shot on the screen and it gives me a 3 second countdown. Although the inbuilt flash does mean I lose all facial features other than my eyes when I do a face shot. Oh, and a couple of quid Wilkinson's light up make up mirror has come in dead handy. My photos aren't great but I like most of them nevertheless.

If you have a bedroom ceiling light,sit or stand just a few feet in front of that,with your camera behind the light,using timer to pose,try to have he camera a bit higher than your face,so you look slightly up,works for me,I think,good luck......

Most of mine are done on phone with ten second timer.......might be why most of mine are not great .try a lamp if you have one prop phone up on books hope that helps xx
