I need to rant!

Someone decides it's a great idea to hunt me down on Facebook. And then post the link to my page to all and sundry on here! What the actual fuck is wrong with people. Nothing is pissing sacred.

Now. My Facebook is obviously private Etc. But if it'd private can they see who I'm friends with and send messages Etc? I don't want the other thing to happen where my fab link gets posted!

I could a birch right now. Absolutely furious.

If there friends with you then yes they can see you're friends but if there not friends they won't be able to see anything if you're profile is private.

This happend to me! Long story

The guy was from California we ip his address from facebook as he'd sent (at ramdom) some pics & video footage to a friend (at ramdom)..luckily the friend was a good friend of mine & told me...

I was outraged as this can happen.I invoked the police but they could not do anything as it was me who put myself "out there" on cam for some loon to use his phone to take a vid & take pics of me!..I had to deleat my fb account & make a new one under a tottally diffrent name!...this happend last year to me!..it can have devastating impact on your life regards to family ect.. it's awful...

had it last week with a guy I'd swapped phone numbers with. He came up in my newsfeed as 'someone I might know'. No mutual friends whatsoever it was the phone numbers that linked us. I could see all his friends...promptly blocked him on fb

Not to cause alarm but I think it all depends on how your Facebook settings are as to whether anyone can see who your friends are. xx

I wasn't friends on Facebook but he sent me a message but he's not on there now. I can't find him on here. He's on kik atm but I'm scared to just block incase he does ssomething

You need to have it set in your settings to hide your friends list from public. You can set it to 'only me' too so only you can see your friends list.

If you haven't removed your facebook I strongly suggest you go through all your settings and change them to 'friends only'

There's an option on Facebook for other people's posts to be held until you approve them.

You can also adjust your privacy so that non - friends can't see anything on your profile.

As for what happened, that's cyber bullying and an offence. Don't get mad, get even.

Somebody found me on fb too - and twitter - and cpl of other sites so they now know where I work etc.

No idea how they did it but it seems some light detective work comes easily to some.

Obviously they messaged me on fb to tell me all of this....

It's just great isn't.

Sort your privacy settings out.

Don't be naive, and as fab recommendation by admins etc. Use a separate phone for fab play, use that phone to connect kik whatsapp, Skype etc up to. Not your main phone.

Likewise have a separate swingers email. Keep your play life online separate from your vanilla life online.

That way they can't be linked.

Aim to keep as little identifying information on facebook as possible. Don't use photos there and elsewhere that could be reverse searched and matched.

Facebook may want your phone no, but it's optional - I'd delete any phone number that you have on there, though it will remain within FB's horde of data about you. FB also remains active when you're not logged into it - it observes what you're doing, sites you're visiting etc. If that is an issue - and it's something I find appalling - then run FB on a separate web browser, so that its cookies remain in isolation there. The alternative is to delete all cookies after every session on FB, if you don't want a separate web browser, but with browsers being plentiful and cheap, it's easy to keep a FB-use only one.

Many use shag phones with a unique phone number, that wouldn't support a web search to reveal your identity, such as a pay as you go one. Aim for no expiry of your credit, so that you don't need to top up as you're about to go on a meet.

Overall assume that everything about you can be assimilated by something on the internet somehow, so be very restrictive about what you add online. Obviously if you're webcamming then anyone/any machine can record this.

There is no privacy online, despite what we may wish to think.
