"Best bits the 205 GTi from '85 ...... proper hot hatch! "

The ad is like a scene from Bond or Mission Impossible or one of the Bourne films. Totally brilliant.

Is never have another pug, they get the styling right but the build quality is none existent.

Last pug I had they only produced 250 models and mine was fucked by 50,000 miles.

Gearbox, clutch, piston rings, wheel bearings.....ahh good ole Peugeot

My brother bought a 206 which of course fell to bits

The Peugeot build quality has improved a lot since the 206 days.

I knew some of the people who built the 206's and i wouldn't of trusted them to hang a picture straight.

That factory got shut down in the end. Since then the design and build quality has improved.

I'd disagree I had a 107 which had clutch problems that Peugeot admitted it was their fault and at 40,000 miles they would give.

Had a 207 S16 which was plagued with problems so I got rid after 6 months.

Was going to buy a 208GTI but saw sense and bought a jap car

You disagree ?? All i said was that build quality had gotten better.

So are you saying the 206 had a better build quality than the 208 ?

Also don't forget the 107 was a joint project that included Toyota and Citroen.

All car marks will have issues

Look at the new Fiat 500 or the Toyota recall's over sticking accelerator pedals.

check out the AA car recalls page. It makes for interesting reading.

I'm disagreeing because you said build quality improved after the 206, I had two pugs which came out after that and both had problems. The 107 was only a clutch but the 207 (supposed to be an improved 206) practically fell to pieces.

Which is why I didn't go for the 208 gti
