Somewhere in North Norfolk

I'm told using hair conditioner is good too. It's also less messy than oil.

It's a trick used by a lot of transgender women which means it's likely to be good.

wirral

I used to use hair conditioner but still got a shaving rash, recently started to use an epilator, painful but the result the day after are worth it, stays smooth for around 10 day before signs of re growth.

Am I wrong in thinking your shave is only as good as the blade/razor no matter which gel/oil/foam you use?

"Am I wrong in thinking your shave is only as good as the blade/razor no matter which gel/oil/foam you use?"

Possibly, but the main thing is to have a hot bath or shower first to allow the pores to open then shave soon after, you get a smoother shave that way.

I always have a long hot soak. Have bath filled to the brim.

Not a sexy look being all pruned after though.

You can get used to it, but easier to get waxed.

"I'll ask again does it stop shaving rash? "

i think it depends on yourself - i could count on one hand the times ive had a rash from shaving - some get it all the time - im very fair though and my hair is fine - not sure if that goes in my favour

Use a good quality razor like a Gillette hydro 5 it's worth the xtra cost for the results. And use a cream not a foam, foam has air in it air is not a good lubricant, creame is dense so the razor will glide Along the skin easier.

I use the green and silver tin, I leave it on no longer than 6 or 7 minutes and it's fine, apart from when I nodded off once .... ouch lol
