Poor try that, from Wales' point of view, - two guys in a tackle & one guy hardly laid a finger on him!!

Fair play to the try scorer, though!

What a storming opening game. Result aside, what an entertaining 80 minutes of sporting drama, and so much more to come.

Oh and of course there's England's triumph at the forthcoming World Cup to look forward to as well

1. He's had a 12 week lay off enforced because he's had 4 concussions in 12 months. He's been given the go ahead for next weekend at home against France

It should be fine !

Good Italian defence though, and Ireland not looking like they are going to score a try any time soon.

It's all bunched up in the middle and lots of on the ground stuff. But as Conor Murray has just scored a try I feel safer going out now.

2 tries in 4 minutes when

Italy down to 14 men - prior to this quite lackluster from Ireland

Agreed. Not the best game. Lots of work to be done there. I'm sure they'll be disappointed with themselves.

A win is a win though. Onwards to the Aviva next week against France.

Just to rub it in, on way home from Sale V Scarlets, Sale 38-3 Scarlets

The South Stand faithful treated poor Scarlets to renditions of "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" and "Shall We Shut The Roof For You?"

I really don't need this distraction when I've got a big assignment I should be doing.

Blasted 6 Nations has poor timing!!

*grumble*

I wonder if the 6 Nations would be considered a valid reason for requesting an extension on the deadline?

this is actually a really good game and i am really enjoying it...

the only thing i am not a fan of is "chunkies" in the back line.......

fat blokes playing 12 i can cope with..... but italy had one playing at 10... and france have them playing at 13 and 15.....

unless you are a 17st maori you are allowed to play wing... but otherwise this is not allowed!!!

You should have seen the Scarlets team this afternoon, some of their players were so out of condition it was woeful. Don't know how many were first-team players but they were terrible.

Brian Moore thinks Bastereaud isn't fit enough for International level rugby.
