If ppl require evidence I can show them in a second to be misguided

Take a Cpl. Any will do. Ask the man, why do u get defensive when someone says they are in love with your wife and they feel the same

This can work either way. As anything goes pretty much now.

Without the person getting violent towards that person, what options do they have?

Deny it

Prove it

U can not prove it, u can only accept it for their is only one action a person can do and it is observed with the eyes and with the ears that hear.

If CPls aren't prepared for truth or even try this then are they not delusional?

Interpretation has led to the many factions of Christianity.

I doesn't say sex is bad in the bible. It says ppl abandoned God while preoccupied with sex. It shows that God doesn't force u to change your lifestyle. God does not require u to be perfect because if God did create us he knows we are not perfect.

I can keep fun and what is said on here separate.

Do u think swinging is best for u? For one day u may not be strong and give into a response from someone u may not have in the past.

I am not sure that I have understood you correctly, are you saying that by believing that your partner truly loves you, you are in fact relying on blind faith. Basically taking their word as truth? A bit much like any religion?

I would say if you are relying on the fact that a partner may say " I love you" then you would be relying on them telling the truth. But on the other hand, a soulmate / partner does not need to constantly say the magic phrase, they will demonstrate their love for you in their daily routine. And you will know that they love you, and you will do the same if you love them.

I would suggest that is all the proof needed? What do you think?

People tried discussing. People realised the only view you are capable of seeing is your own. Your analogies and examples are warped and you ignore facts and evidence if they are inconvenient to your agenda.

On another thread you ask for someone to be kind and help you with your social awkwardness. Perhaps you need to listen and really think about what people say before, that is people trying to help you with your social awkwardness.

You admit you are aware that you are socially awkward. You obviously know you don't relate as well to people as you could.

The first step is to listen and to be open to what others say. No amount of help with your social awkwardness will assist you if you are unwilling to allow it to.

Stop. Step back a bit. Read what people have said and think on it.

You are passionate, that's great.

Many of us do not share your beliefs. We don't have to justify why to you. Even so, some of us have tried to explain anyway.

We don't have to prove to you that there is a valid reason not to believe in order to be allowed not to believe.

Try this.

Say I have a partner. Whether or not we love each other, we both benefit from it. The other is someone to spend time with, to have sex with, to do things like meals out and cinema trips with, someone to have children with and help with raising them, someone to help with every day tasks...

God cannot do any of those things for me.

I chose to believe in the benefits of a relationship because those benefits are real.

I chose not to believe in God because I can see nothing real that makes me think he/she is real.

U have to ask Stephen fry why he did start giving?live aid happened in the 80's. And any event ppl need to be entertained to get the same response. Until someone started saying that ppl in the church gave weekly without being given anything in return. They took a lead from the church

So if athesits complain about charity, why do we still give to charities. As does Stephen Fry. A rather poor arguement on your point to say athesits complain. I have never complained and give to those charities I choose to.

I will never give to a church or religion though. Far too many people have been killed in the name of god and religion, and I would never support and believe in something that thought killing people or torturing them until they believed was the way forward !

Live Aid was one charity event of many charity events. Charities use many methods to raise money.

Plenty of atheists donate to and volunteer for charities of their own volition, with no complaining, with no need for a charity event to drive it.

Events are a means to publicise charities and raise more money.

I am an atheist. I have donated money to numerous charities. I have worked as a volunteer for, amongst others, SeeAbility and Cats Protection. I've also volunteered for not-for-profit organisations helping others.

People do give money in church every week yes..I read not so long ago that the Vatican was the richest city in the world..So the money does not go towards helping the starving child then..it goes to the vatican in the catholics case .

No. The Vatican's wealth is not built on the donations of normal people in normal churches. Money donated to charity by Catholics is the same as money donated to charity by anyone else.

Freedom of speech is exactly what it says. It is not a case of keeping quiet ! The word "speech" implies saying something. The point is, we all have opinions, yet you seem to think that your right to freedom of speech excludes anyone elses.

We went over this yesterday.

Evolution is a natural system with evidence to support the theory.

God is alleged to be a sentient being and there is no evidence that supports his/her existence.

Evolution is unable to decide anything and asking anything of it is a ridiculous notion.

Expecting action from God to end the suffering of people he is alleged to have created and to love is entirely reasonable. He's supposed to be a sentient, all-powerful being. He should be able to end suffering.

I don't agree with the OP's reasoning, partly because it appears to lack reason, but it is possible to rebut and even ridicule without resorting to such stereotypes of mental health conditions.

I wasn't aware of any disability, only read the last couple of posts on this thread which suggested the ramblings of a mad man. If the OP does have issues I would suggest airing them on a public forum might not be the best way forward. And if he does then I apologise for any offence.

Evolution is a process. It can be self manageable or manipulated like we are doing with 3 parent children. Bravo science.

With any piece of text, interpretation is what is at issue. The bible demonstrated this by its many different factions within. Some believers reject. Some don't. We interpret not by our choosing but how are brains are wired to think

If God is real and if God of the Christian bible is the truth then to God he allowed this difference in opinion of interpretation. It is only man that is judgemental. Our individualism is what makes us who we are. If what we think is wrong of course we are gonna get upset. Most ppl have addictions of some kind..

Knowing u are wrong is not bad for u can grow from it.

Firstly, I do not claim to be female and never have, I am happy in my gender and my sexuality & need no approval from a holy book to be so.

I do not 'ask' anything of a non-existent sky fairy so your point is facile, I do not 'allow' anything for others for the extremely simple reason that it is not my right or gift to do so - believing such is the arrogant mark of the religious who like to cast down from on high their diktats and condemnations.

You fail to grasp one very simple point.

I am not a member of your religious 'club' therefore the rules of that club do not apply to me, I care nothing for your commandments as they are as relevant to me as the rules of the Bridport Pony Club.

Your religion is nothing,its rules are nothing and its precepts are nothing to me.

Religious people like yourself are hypocrites when they claim religion makes then good, if you need the fear of offending your sky fairy to help your fellow man then it is YOU who are the lesser being, & it is the atheist who gives to charity, who helps out at a Foodbank etc the far, far better person as they are doing it because it is right - not because they think a sky fairy will be upset at them if they do not.

I can sort of see your point in the need to be entertained in order to give freely, though I do not feel it is restricted to Atheists.

The reason I say this, as someone who has attended church services, Catholics and Protestants alike are humoured with song, vitality and Gods good will and what he has and continues to do for us. It is then that the collection pot is passed around asking those who have been entertained to donate to the church.
