Bradford

There's a company in America that pays for your poo.

Ok, it helps towards fecal microbiota transplantation, but still.....

Donors receive $40 per sample. If they come in five days in one week, they receive an extra $50. Prospective donors also receive $40 for getting tested.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Where there's muck there's brass.

now then .. sit and listen ... my daughter and i were actually chatting about this the other day ..well sort of - she has chrohns disease amongst other delightful things wrong and there is talk about transplanting a healthy gutted poo into the system of someone like herself - to assist in the turn around of the awful auto immune system problems she has - she was wondering if she could actually go through with it as the thought grossed her out somewhat - but decided if she got so ill it was a constant she would try if it was offered -

If only it didn't smell so bad it could actually be a healthy part of our diet

This is very interesting. My partner has had crohns for over 10 years, although under control with the help of steroids and quite mild, its a debilitating disease. With no cure on the horizon, this does sound encouraging. Thanks For This.

You can learn to control a fair amount of things but when your body decides that it is going to evacuate your bowels.....

There is not a thing you can do to stop it.

Picolax looks like Imodium in comparison....

my daughter tries allsorts of things and looks up stuff all the time - one of the most simple and effective things she has come across is peppermint oil tablets - and uses them daily - she drinks ginger tea and that helps a little as well - helps her to keep a lower dose of meds - worth a try - also look at cumin (no pun there at all)
