Gaaahhhh!!! Useless f*cking EE !!

Just spent the majority of the morning 'locked out' of anything remotely adult due to EE's inept and unfit for purpose filters. Anybody else experienced issues today?

And yes, flight mode attempted many times. Turned off and on again frequently. Emptied cache. Even tried using EE's credit card verification system to unlock which, true to form, didn't work.

Anti EE rant over, feel miles better now.

Happened to me yesterday. Usually if I do the flight mode thing it's fine but it didn't work. I feel your pain!

Yep, they are useless on this issue. It should have been sorted out ages ago. It's a pain in the arse.

I had this yesterday, went on my online account. Reset content filters, turned phone off and back on. Et voila! Perving all the way round Asda last night!

I don't doubt it will mess up at some point again but for now, its worth a try!

Kept turning off, back on and trying. It eventually came back on and connected to Fabs.

Doubt I was anything to do with it working again but happy to take the credit.

I had this problem a few months ago on my iphone. I downloaded opera web browser from the app store and can log in through that with no problems whatsoever. It's a lot faster than safari too.

It's a bug in their system when you're on mobile data rather than wifi they're in no hurry to fix but it's annoying as hell if sporadic. Been particularly bad this week though.

Read that before. Seems the mobile Opera browser is the way ahead.

I tried it and didn't like it. It was painfully slow to load anything and made me feel like throwing my phone against a wall.

I found it more irritating than the content lock keep appearing at random

Happens to me all the time. I even rung ee once and asked them why filters had been turned off. They said that hadnt and their system was down. When the blocker goes down I can't even get onto facebook.. It's highly annoying to say the least.

It's apparently been going on for years if you check out their forums and all the complaints. It's not just adult sites they block either. They have no interest in fixing it at all and sometimes the methods to get round it just don't work

Yeah, I get the same problem. I had to phone them up and ask for the filter to be unturned off. It happened again, then I was told they could turn off a 2nd 'more explicit' filter. It happened again, now they say close your browser, clear your history and either turn on/ aeroplane mode or turn off/on the phone all together.

It is ridiculous.

Loads of past posts about this, they seem to be dreadful at fixing it. I'm Tmob but haven't had it, fingers crossed, but did have it a couple of times with vodafone.

O2 did this to me a while back. I discovered I could access Fab via any page other than the home page.

It might have been a fluke but it worked.

It happened to me but with 3. Why they cant manage to figure out that to have a phone contract in my name I have to be 18. I pay for it by direct debit from an account in my my name.

God knows where the call centre is, but trying to get someone to understand this in basic ingrish was a nightmare

As soon as I asked to be put through to cancellations dept I managed to get so speak to an english person who sorted it

If Carlsberg did shit companies, it would be EE. I have nothing but trouble with them, their customer service is worse than abysmal... can't wait to move the last of my phones away from the twats.

I'm always amazed by these threads. There is so much info on the web, including about EE being voted the worst telco, that I can't see why anyone would sign up with them. I know some people didn't have a choice i.e. they were with Orange who got taken over but it was quite easy to use their first scam price increase to get out of the contract.

I did and used the compensation they had to pay me to buy a decent sim-free handset and now I won't get a contract longer than 30 days and I'm about £20 a month better off.

Apart from them blocking random sites every now and again, I haven't had any issues with them and get more data, texts and minutes for my money than I would have done anywhere else at the time I was looking to change (I haven't looked recently to compare because I don't need to). They aren't all bad

Which is all, hairy muff, but I have an internet broadband bundle with them too which saves me some serious. I'll take occasional issues like this with a good cash saving over a poor overall package any day.
