Cardiff

I take mine to the council, they MOT their own vehicles and have to offer than service to the general public.

They dont carry out repairs, totally un biased.

My council MOT centre is 10 miles away but if I hadn't moved it would have been across the road, so it's not practical now

Menston near Ilkley

I used to always use California Autos in Gomersal as they just test and don't repair. Anywhere who does both has a vested interest in failing the vehicle.

I didn't even know this was a possibility? It's something we should look into to save being lied to by unscrupulous MOT centres

Fell for that one many years ago, I now take mine to a mechanic who then takes it to the centre, he's been a family friend since as long as I can remember, so no rip offs
