Well IS have now started something i would think they wish they hadnt started, by executing the jordanian pilot the have stirred a hornets nest, in retaliation jordan have executed 2 IS prisoners and have vowed to reap revenge on IS now.

Couldnt of worked out better for the west as IS have now brought in an Arab state who do not believe in human rights well don Jordan give it to them

Well it was a bit more than 2 hours, but I get your point. They will see the two prisoners as martyrs though, through ISIS eyes.

All that will happen is they will increase bombing raids. What else can they do?

They wont put troops on the ground, it will have to happen at some point though, sadly.

Do we know if ISIS have any other hostages still, sounds nieve to ask I know.

I've been in my Nan's friends house this morning who is the vicar in the church by me cos I felt like something bad would happen to me cos I watched it.

I suppose no matter how many times we hear what they have done this time, or last time, you may have to see it to believe it as it sounds like a real life horror movie.

I only ever watched something nasty like this the once and that keeps my curiosity in my pocket now.

I just think 'I'll take your word for it'.

I did watch the video of Saddam Hussein being hung and a small part of me says its ok as its a 'bad guy' but a huge part of me tells me its a human being.

I didnt watch the videos of the animals being kicked around in the news yesterday in the HALAL slaughter house.

Your quite right, I even read it back twice before replying. Duhh

Fully agree with your point about Jordon actually doing something but I think the air raids and drones worry them more than anything else as they cant see the enemy coming, by the time they hear the planes its often too late.

Do you happen to know if there are more hostages ISIS hold?

It keeps suprising me when they announce they have, I suppose if they havent they can easily go and get some. Wether those hostages have the same effect as the Brits, Americans and so on who knows.

Sorry i do not know if they hold any more hostages but im sure they will seize more in future.

Agree about the American drones being a concern for IS but they capitalise on this as its the west doing this which they use to drum up support.

Now jordan has retaliated against them i assume this will hit their moral a bit more than the drone attacks

Lt. Muadh al-Kasasbeh was the only coalition pilot that was admitted to being held.

ISIL have multiple Syrian military hostages, in addition to Kurd and Iraqi women.

You can add in any number of Kurd and Iraqi males who offered resistance, or were in the wrong place at the wrong time. As they don't represent any bargaining power and require feeding / guarding, it's simpler to just execute them.

I put together a very comprehensive and critical assessment of the ISIL Iraq situation in July, last year, after they attacked cities in the north of Iraq; in my opinion, the Western governments had taken their eyes off events in the Middle East and we are now left with the current cluster-fuck.

I'm not prepared to post it in an open forum but if anybody wishes to read it, send me a PM.

yes... IS are winning the media war....

do i think jordan's reaction will cause concern... nope

you could say that IS were testing the water here during the whole episode... they knew they would never get the 200 million dollar ransom for both japanese.. so they killed one

they knew they would get jordans attention by dangling out hope for the pilot... and create tension between jordan and japan.... when it became clear the pilot in the eyes of the jordanians was worth a lot more than the japanese hostage.... they killed him

it could be said that the pilot was actually a lot more alive than dead, and IS made a huge mistake killing him....

we know they have at least one uk hostage.. cantalie who was doing the IS videos.. and i am sure when they don't play out and are as effective.... they will kill him

I watched bits of this video myself, I walked in on my 17 years old room while him self and a friend was watching on his laptop . I wanted him to turn it off but something compelled me to _iew.

All three of us sat there in complete silence, I might come across as a bad mother for doing this but these videos are easy to _iew once uploaded. I want my son to be aware of what is going on in the world but would rather him read about it than _iew so he has assured me that he will not watch any more and after seeing how distressed he was I believe him. . I wouldn't feel disgusted in watching it as we as humans are curious but my heart goes out to this pilots family who probably had to see it to believe it

I can not put into words how I feel after seeing such evil

Have u seen the video, I'm not buying that its genuine for a second. It looks like a movie trailer.

He's casualy walking to the cage, not tied up or blindfolded. Not escorted. No none locks him in or pours any oil or petrol on him. He doesn't steam or try to back away from the fire approachin him.

It's bullshit.

There's more going on than were told.

A joint force of the major Arab states would be the only politically acceptable way of tackling IS in a ground war, but their forces are not up to the job now and, as IS become more experienced, better armed and better trained, they will become less useful. They should stop talking and act now, with full support from western forces (Turkey to take the lead maybe?). IS say they are fighting a war, give it to them, fully. It will be messy, but can only get more so as time progresses.

Also, Europe is not far from where all this is going on. If it is allowed to develop, will IS stop at attacking the Arab world or will they try to extend their Kaliphate?

Ultimately it will come down to oil and money as it always does. The US will act once they fear that major oil reserves are in danger of falling into the hands of a regime with which they cannot communicate. This is going to be a long battle, the consequences of both doing too much and too little are huge. Getting the balance right is going to require a lot of skill and broad Muslim support. I fear it is beyond everyone involved at present.

Unfortunately I have seen the video, yes he walks quietly to the cage but you can also see at least 50 masked IS cunts with guns scattered about, he's hardly going to run though maybe he should have and then he would've been shot instead which would have been more humane. He's in a locked cage with petrol all around him and on his clothes, the trail is lit and then he's engulfed in flames, he tries patting himself but it's pointless then his hands are protecting his head until well I don't need to describe the rest. After watching the clip myself I did find it looked like a movie trailer but I have found that other filming of barbaric acts are made the same way by these jihad scum . I believe the film is 100% genuine. I also believe that he was very calm because he accepted his fate and didn't show he was a coward like them who stood by a watched which is heroic in my eyes and that's how he should be remembered .

Some people can not except the truth and believe these killings are all fake. There are true beheadings crucifixion, limb amputation,Raping, heads on spikes , stoning, throwing gay people off buildings, burning people alive, selling of sex slaves and killing of babies and children happening daily to these poor Iraq and Syrian people . I don't have my head buried in the sand, but I just don't need to see a poor man, doused in petrol and set alight. The flames consuming his every being, ripping the flesh from his bones as he screams in total agony. The only blessing would be he lose consciousness quickly as his life comes to an end

No not at all people see bad things all the time in their jobs they do like soldiers, police men etc.

there are some things I have seen which have kept me awake at night so I am careful what I look at, don't know if im allowed to mention them though.

thing is I heard that you can get used to seeing things that scare you if you see them a lot only I wouldn't want to try it, my hubby was in the army and seen some bad things but he said he wouldn't want to see the things I told him about, also I faint at the sight of blood.

I watched the whole 22 minute video (the execution was about 90 seconds) but the rest was just bollox. I watched it to try and understand their thinking. The graphics and editing was exactly like a film, even one of the IS men with a gun had a pair of Adidas sambas on for fuck sake! The beginning of the video was footage of air strikes and showing men that had been injured or killed in the strikes, a way to justify what they were doing to the Jordanian pilot. At the end they showed a list of pilots with names, pictures and ranks and said they're wanted dead, rewards will be given to anyone who kills the pilots.

Even a cross party group of mps here have said we should be doing more as only joined in six air strikes instead if talking and risking upsetting folk in uk more should be done.

It suits the needs of them all as in reality they all want to destabilise the Shi'a for their own different agendas.

I think you'd be highly surprised what the Qur'an does allow you to do, or for that matter the old testament!.

In Numbers (in Bible) you have one of the ten commandments saying not to kill and a little further on it says to destroy those that worship false idols. It has a very open minded approach to dealing with your wife(s)!"

I would point out oddities in the Koran but, as stated, I have never read it and do not have a copy of it. I realize it's a novel stance, but I try not to pontificate about something I know nothing about!

Chop the hands of theifs.

Kill non believers.

Rape prisoners of war.

Have slaves.

Beat women and make sure they only have half the rights of men.

And still get into heaven!
