Anybody ever seen this shit? (pardon the pun).

I watched the first half of this 'film' a couple of months ago, but couldn't bring myself to watch the rest. Just seen a horrific scene on YouTube and I want to poke my eyes out with hot needles.

What has been seen cannot be unseen.

The director of Salo was having a breakdown when he made the film.

And was murdered around the time of its release. (Probably by someone it offended...the jury's still out on that one)

I saw it, the whole film used to be on YouTube. Thought it was some arty farty trying to be a mindfuck film. Bored the shit outta me. Can't even remember much about the film and only watched it some time in the past 2 years.

Usually comes in top ten and top three of those.

Of all time sick films

Serbian,salo, irreversible, martyrs all come high.

Apparently august underground Morden knocks spots out of all of them.

Thankfully I won't watch this kind of dross but have a keen interest in all kinds of films and have read up on all of the above.

Definitely not my thing.

Much prefer Sci fi

Ah, the crazy 70s. Just google sexploitation movies especially the "roughies", you'll see some hard to view movies then. Film making was very different in San Fran/New York to what it is today.

I actually can't believe the makers of this aren't on some kind of list..

I'm all for the challenging of perceptions/exploring the dark side of human nature and what it can lead to if not curtailed, but this...

I thought the film tries to get across that absolute power corrupts and those wielding absolute powers are usually pretty ordinary looking people who are disturbed and petty and take pleasure in violating whoever they fancy that cant resist. The subtext being the horrors of fascist and communist states that puts power in the hands of petty exploitive individuals. Degrading sex being the metaphor. Or is that a too pseud response!
