Why do people get nervous?

I have a job interview this aft, and I am shitting it. I can't see fight or flight coming into it, as the worse thing that could happen is not getting the job and remaining on this course I am doing and get the qualification.

But my bowels have different ideas

Because you care?

If you didn't care you'd be calm as a cucumber.

Arrive a little early, go to the loo and run your hands under cold water. This was a tip given to me years ago and it really helps to calm the nerves (and avoid sweaty hands). Good luck!

I'm the same, the more a care about something the more I brick it and start waffling like mad....still, let it not be said there are lulls in the conversation

"How did it go? "

Not too great. I didn't have my GCSE certificates, so they didn't interview me.

I've NEVER been asked for them before.... Ever! I got them 25 years ago. I probably lost them 24 years ago.

I think that's a bit unfair. Owing to the passing of years, you aren't likely to have them.

It was HMRC (or Inland Revenue in old money)
