why is it on here that when you compliment some one in the chat rooms you 95% of the time get blanked , a thankyou wouldnt go a miss and manners cost nothing , thanks x

I think it might be to do with the speed at which the chat room move's blink and you missed it.

I've been popping into the chat rooms this last week and it does move very fast. I'm on mobile so can only talk in the room,not in private and can't respond to a poke

Compliments are used as a tactic on here fairly often to try to open a conversation with someone who they are pretty certain wouldn't be interested.

Some of the follow up comments I've received after courteously thanking someone for a compliment were not pleasant!

If I go in the chat rooms at all I find it very difficult to follow chat let alone someone actually complimenting.. Best if you get into a proper chat first rather than random comments that get missed so easy when busy.

that or of course pm the compliments

Yep, it's quick. Say hi to the room then wait till there's a topic you can jump in on and make a polite response, you'll then be on the merry go round with those in the convo till it ends then look for the next one to join. In the meantime check the chat every now and then as someone maybe talking to you, that's pretty much what peeps do. Oh, and speed up on your typing/texting to give you more time to view the chat as it's easy to miss things.

Compliments on here are often just meant as a way to get into someone's knickers, why should someone say "thank you" to every compliment they get? And the chat rooms move so fast sometimes it's impossible to keep up with who said what to who
