Reducing the friends list!

I see this status alot, reducing friends list as no point if you not gonna contact us!

I always have a chuckle to myself and think "well you clearly havnt messaged your friends so why should they contact you?

Thoughts on these type of facebook status updates

People can put what they like up as long as they are not rude to someone else, as far as I'm concerned.

I've been culled from friends lists even when I have contacted them. It's fine.

You have to be a friend for me to have you on my friends list so I am unlikely to cull without something major happening.

I just remove, don't announce it.

But I guess for some it means they're given people a chance to stay on their list.

I have lots of friends on my friends list that I don't talk to often or they don't message me. I will not take them off though they went on my friends list for a reason so I am sure we will chat again at some point x

I delete anyone who requested me and then doesn't want to talk. I'm not very chatty most of the time,I don't get anything from saying hello to everyone every day. I would get bored with it. If something crops up that would interest someone I talk to them. I'm not very sociable in real life either

As people swing for different reasons,people add up friends for different reasons, some you will get to talk to them sometimes later in future, some you never talk after the initial contact,some you will only talk for a very few times and some will just add up as decoration to your list

Its those who say "had no contact from you for ages so deleting them"

Do they really think its up to everyone else to message them? Why not send a message yourselves? Just dont understand the thinking behind it

I'm in contact with nearly every single one on my friends list outside of fab, so it's rare I'll ever message anyone on it on here.
