Why hasn't Stephen hawking been knighted yet.

The man is a genius trapped in a broken body.

The world should build him a cyborg body.

Fleetwood

Because he doesn't want to be, he was offered a knighthood and turned it down

Not everybody wants to be knighted.

I think he's much happier being recognised for his genius than some shitty title

If your happy to poke fun at able bodied people, you should be happy to poke fun at disabled people.

Otherwise your just a ism

Hawking is a Companion of Honour which, if you're into such things, is a lot more exclusive than a K.

He said he didn't want to be knighted and the reason I find it not funny is a good friend has just been diagnosed with mnd, and its not nice to see him deteriorate. You wouldn't poke fun at cancer would you? No because everyone knows someone who has had cancer
