We don't hate it.

We just ignore it.

Use it as another filter!

"When people are over familiar with with you in and opening message by using terms such as baby etc "

Yes.

Familiarity comes with time and permission from you.

Terms like baby, hun, etc are just as they sound- over familiar.

However there are a great deal of people on here who just see this site as a numbers game and they keep trying the same old thing loads of times hoping for a bite. If you don't offer something they just move on to the next.

If they read your profile, fit the bill, and treat you with respect they might stand a chance of meeting you however a lot of people on here can't be bothered to take that time and just want a quick fuck.

We hope you are contacted by decent people in future.

Hate is a vastly overused word to imply mild irritation. I don't hate anything?

It really depends who it's from.

Generally any sort of pet-name pisses me off..but some have said it and it's ok depending on who it is.

so near and yet so far....

I hate the assumptions that all they have to do is message, say a few compliments and I'll snap their hand off to drag them into bed...

But some are amusing, if not then I'll just use the block button....

Its not.. Hate is to detest, dislike, loathe etc

So if someones dislikes something strongly which the OP does then it is actually hate its just a word that is used to convey a multitude of feelings

"Baby" or "Darling" doesn't sound quite right to me, without knowing the person well of course.

Maybe mis-used by some but dont assume thats the case by all. Everyone has the capability todispise certain things and to them it is much more than a mild annoyance

Start at the neck rather than the feet (as they may be ticklish!)

I don't put things like darlin, babe or sweety in messages because I know it can offend some people. It doesn't bother me at all if I receive it though because I don't see it as any different to speaking to a bloke and saying mate or pal.

That message would have been fine without the baby on the end. Please excuse me while I breathe and count to 10

Yes, I bloody hate 'x's from people on the first hello (especially from blokes). I mean, if someone you'd never met before walked past you in the street and said "Hi!" and landed a kiss on you, I'd be bit freaked!

Mind you, it seems to be a reflexive thing for some people - I have a very good friend who totally showers her texts and emails with 'x's. Again, if I was kissed half way through and at the end of every sentence whilst talking, I'd be a bit freaked!
