Kind Hearts and Coronets - Alec Guiness is sublime in both the male and female roles and it is so quintessentially British.

Titz Towers, North Notts

The Eagle has Landed. Happy memories of 1987/8 Christmas with all the family playing cards and this being on telly late on after my dad had taken my Grandma and Grandad home. My brother and I getting a special dispensation to watch it from where the paratrooper gets caught in the mill wheel.

Ok it isn't a favourite but this thread just made me think of it... One of our dinosaurs is missing! Used to look forwards to that at Christmas when I was young!

The Breakfast Club, Where Eagles Dare and Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure if I have to pick some....

People's 'classic' films are different depending on age.

The ones I (mr) never ever tire of are aliens, wizard of oz, 9 1/2 weeks, toy story, to name only a few.

Mrs loves to kill a mockingbird, lion king, 12 angry men.

For me the go to classics are

Alien, aliens, possibly alien 3....

Predator (though deffo not 2 or predators)

Conan the barbarian (original arnie version...had a bit of a guy crush on him with long locks)

Barbarella was clas.....'what are you smoking?'....'Essence of man!'

Serpico was class.

Loads more I can't think of off the top of my head....
