What's everyone been watching lately?

I love Boxsets, but currently running out of things to watch, so any suggestions would be great

Just finished season one of The Blacklist. Drags abit to start & after the first 8 episodes or so, it gets abit samey but stick with it.

I enjoyed it.

For something more grittier, try True Detective. Awesome show.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Working my way through West Wing again. It really is well written.

Other boxsets I have: Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Rome, Game of Thrones, Babylon 5, various Star Treks, Shogun, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, Soldier Soldier, Band of Brothers, Hollow Crown, Victorian Farm, and Sherlock.

Band of Brothers is awesome.

I've got sky box sets so loads on there.

Recently caught up with Scandal which I got into.

Hannibal was awesome- but new series hasn't started yet..

Anyone watch Bates Motel? That was good but don't know if they are doing another series?

What's breaking bad about?

It's kind of hard to say it without blowing the plot.

The storyline sounds a bit dodgy. .but once you watch it, it's really good.

It's about a A Chemistry Teacher who basically is diagnosed with Terminal cancer and turns to crime to provide for his family after his death.

It's good. Try it out.

ORPHAN BLACK

Absolutely brilliant. Co made by BBC America. Unbelievable performance by lead actress Tatiana Maslany. I binge watched the first 2 series. Season 3 due out soon. Can't wait.

Sons of anarchy is really good, the new fortitude on sky is supposed to be amazing - if you like documentry's watch black fish on netflix

Also there's a really good mini series (6 episodes over 3 parts) just showing on Sky 1 called "Ascension"

Couldn't wait for the last part so I downloaded it instead.

The basic premise as taken from Wiki is:

"Ascension is inspired by the real-life Project Orion that existed under the administration of President John F. Kennedy.[3] The show sets up an alternate version of reality beginning in 1963, when President Kennedy and the U.S. government, fearing the Cold War will become hot and lead to the destruction of Earth, decide to launch a covert space mission. They send 350 volunteers, including men, women and children, into space on a century-long voyage aboard the USS Ascension, a massive, self-sustaining generation ship. Their mission is to colonize a planet orbiting Proxima Centauri,[4] assuring the survival of the human race. At 51 years into their 100 year journey (i.e. in the present) and as they approach the point of no return, the mysterious murder of a young woman – the first homicide since their departure[5] – causes the ship's crew to question the true nature of their mission"

What I love is the way that they have kept the feel of the 60's onboard the USS Ascension whilst outside, well that would be telling

Very good but then it does have Lucy Liu as Doctor Watson and Natalie Dormer.

Sean Pertwee puts in an appearance or two as does Rhys Ifans

Breaking Bad - got to series 4, couldn't take any more. Thought it was crap.

Sons of Anarchy - half way through series 2 and love it. Can't believe it's taken me this long.

American Horror Story - Fantastic series. Currently waiting for series 4 to be available.

Orange is the New Black - really enjoyed it. Is series 3 out yet?

Have Game of Thrones waiting for when SoA is finished.

Elementary is awesome - the guy playing Sherlock in that is spectacular and gets the edginess of a former addict just right.

Breaking Bad is a slow burner but worth it. Does get dark in places.

Otherwise Penny Dreadful is amazing (especially if you love Eva Green and victorian drama).

Just finished The Knick as well - it's like ER set in victorian times and the medical aspect is quite fascinating (although don't watch if you are squeamish!)

The latter are both 10 episodes which is a good weekends viewing as well

Love suits, can't wait for game of thrones, watching breaking bad at the moment interspersed with house, flash, sleepy hollow, Constantine, scorpion, walking dead... I think I need to get out the house more!
