Tying up positions

Just like to ask everyone what is their best tying up positions? Do people like certain ones or find certain ones more of a turn on? Also is it just rope people like being tied up with or any other materials?

There are a few rope pics on our profile. Its not just the being tied its the different types of ropes and how they feel that do it for me. I prefer thr coarser ones. Also the speed rope is pulled through into knots can have an effect. (Paws)

The questions you are asking tells me by default that you have absolutely no fucking clue about this.

In all fairness to them, they asked a question looking for opinions on the subject. They haven't actually said it is something they are going to try. It isn't something on their profile either.

Maybe, just maybe, they are curious. They have to start somewhere!

To answer the op, I prefer a wide gauge rope, it holds firm, takes far too much pressure to knot by mistake, but is easy to untie.

I would advise that you start off large. Don't use cord, laces or string as that can cut in and constrict circulation.

I'm no expert though...

TBH I love rope, pics on profile, and I think cable ties would scare the shit out of me!

Even though we use rope, he always has a safe cutting tool to hand just in case.....never used them yet but you never know if the situation ever arises.

You can find classes and workshops that'll help you and show you things safely if you can't find an 'expert' to help you. Google 'how to tie a basic body harness' and you'll find some youtube videos by twisted monk. The body harness, called 'karada', is simple, attractive and pretty safe, plus the video emphasises safety.

Incidentally just about everyone who uses bondage will warn you off using cable ties. They can get too tight too easily and are very difficult to cut free so can cause permanent damage by cutting off circulation.

For my part, simple rope ties are good as are silk scarves and at the other end of the spectrum dog chains.

I love tying him up with soft materials. Silk and ribbons. I also have some velour restraints. Sometimes just hands and sometimes blindfolded and bound to a chair or on the floor or face down on the bed. So many options xxx

I always had a cutter for the cables ties and never done them tight but I totally understand where your coming from

I knew someone who was into Japanese rope bondage which looks amazing but like anything takes time to learn.

Cable ties seems a bit serial killer to me...

I would suggest finding a local Munch and attending a few times. Then look for demo's and workshops. We regularly put on demo's in clubs (swing + fet) and are now doing workshops. First thing that gets explained is safety and how to ensure ropes don't tighten; and the importance of being able to cut ropes quickly if needed. Never needed to; but its a safety must.

It's something I'm fairly new to but love. My boob shibari pics were done following a wikihow style guide linked from a well known Fet site. Safety first at all times though; I'm not going to experiment unless I know exactly what I'm doing and can either get out of (or have someone cut me out of) trouble easily.

All depends on wether you are tying or restraining to have sex or tease a partner, or tying for looks and sensual feeling

Im with an above poster , the korada or as ive known it the Japanese rope dress, either in full or half form for looks is one of the ones I like

There used to be info on them on the Noble rope arts site and also on ropetopia

As for tie wraps, a big nono. Fifty shades shit that no real dom would use. Leave them for the cops to restrain crims and mechanics to tie apprentices up

A good set of soft padded leather wrist and ankle restraints are safer and more comfortable to wear.

Fave position is four in a row....face up with wrists and ankles tied to the headboard....a pillow under the hips..!
