why don't people leave messages on an answering machine? why not? do you? I find it so annoying when they don't leave a message

No I dont like them.

There's no contract saying 'I have to' so I don't.

I wish I could turn mine off but the settings wont allow.

Instead of leaving a message I will text someone what I would of said.

Normally don't bother, will text instead, I find a lot of people will respond quicker to a text than a voice message.

Although I did leave a message when the answer phone message was a poem and the lady said that she would only reply to any messages that rhymed! Brilliant.

I always leave a message if i cant speak to the person as most never phone back if you dont say who you are or why your phoning.

Anyone who recieves a voicemail from me probably hears a distant voice saying "fucksake, why don't you answer yer phone ya cunt", normally i end the call during the instruction to leave a message.

I never listen to them.

Voicemails take ages.

All the steps you have to go through is just a great big fuck off.

Every bastard time I check my voice mail, it's a second of silence, then they hang up, so bloody annoying

Call your phone company and they can deactivate it from their end.

There are also codes to be found on internet and you can do it yourself.

Same here..I got the phone company to switch it off. I just ring again as I wanted to speak to them so it should be at my expense not theirs.
