The screen sealant I use is called Angelwax H2G0.

To be properly effective you first need to deep clean your windscreen with a clay bar then either use Angelwax Vision glass cleaner or water with a little methalated spirits added to it. You then apply a couple of coats of screen sealant.

It stops water or condensation building up on the screen meaning frost doesn't stick. It also means you don't have to use your windscreen wipers when driving above 20mph in the rain.

How often do you need to re-treat it?

Greatly depends on things like your screen wash type/strength and how often you use your wipers to clear dirt.

I applied two coats around 6 months ago and I clean my car twice a week and my screen is still protected.

Menston near Ilkley

We had the same treatment applied to the large windows in public rooms on the QE2 to keep the windows free of sea spray and salt deposits.

I don't have that problem as my car is parked in my garage overnight.
